He Dun Kister
Kister has been sold! Congratulations to
Harvey and Annetta of Clarkton, Missouri. We hope they and Kister have
wonderful experiences together.
Kister, a
2002 gelding,
is a gorgeous golden dun, with a stout chest and a powerful rear end.
The wide
blaze on his face extends clear to his lower lips, making the cutest
effect,
like maybe he just "kissed her."
As of
April 1, 2004, Kister had seven rides
"under his belt" (or should we say "his girth"). He had been on the
trail five times, going out about an hour each ride. He was nervous for
the first two rides, but after that he was ready to take the world in
stride, leading the group calmly and willingly up and down steep trails
and through a deep creek.
As a
yearling, Kister
went the local horse show "for practice" and did great. He didn't get
upset about anything, and behaved beautifully, showing off how he can
trot
beside, back up, lift his feet, drop his head, and do a beginning
pivot. He
even loaded up to go home, in the dark, without a trace of hesitation.
Kister is
double
registered with AQHA and ABRA (American Buckskin Registry Association).
With
his stout conformation and cutting breeding, he has potential for ranch
work.
